G2 tail-cap question

I’d like to make it so that the tail-cap on my G2 cannot be turned far enough to activate the light.

Has anyone used a rubber grommet between the tail-cap and flashlight body to accomplish this? If so, what size?

Thanks,
Scott

Is it the turn/twist-activation you don’t like?Or do you want to get rid of the constant on all together?

If it’s the turn-activation I’d just get a new tailcap(Z49/Z59?).

The standard switch I have is fine as there’s no permanent on, I just don’t like to have to keep checking that it’s turned back far enough to not drain the batteries yet not so far back that it won’t work.

The problem is I’ve got my light on the right side due to the Specter sling and front side-swivel that I’m using being on the left. It’s at 3 o’clock so I use the fingers of my off-hand to activate it so ease of activation is appreciated. It may just be best to check out one of the Danger Close mounts that USMC03 reviewed here and get the light mounted on the proper side so I can utilize my thumb instead of my fingers.

The Z59 looks like it’d be the best between the two for me so that may be an option also.

I appreciate your input,
Scott
