G&R Tactical WG Series Lights

G&R is proud to announce a new line of weaponlights! We took the SureFire E2D body dimensions and had a converter built in so you can use the SF Z32 Shock Isolated Bezel.

These weaponlights require the use of the VLTOR E-Series mounts for the Daniel Defense Offset mount with spacer.

The “WG” stands for Weapons Grade, the number designates the voltage and the “D” stands for Defender. These are available in 6V and 9V version.

Wow, they do look great. I need to stop by and check one out before you move.

I need one more light set-up.

These are nice, I have the 6v one now, I would like to get the 9v and try those Wolf eyes bulbs out–Grant do they hold up well?

Mark

I did a lot of research on this bulbs before getting a dealer account with them. The guys on CPF just rave about them and have not seen any issues. I am personally running these bulbs and their recharger systems without any problems.

C4

Grant, Just to be certain, one can use the WE bulbs with the 123’s in any surefire light, matching 6v, 9v, etc.?

Mark

Kind of. Any SF light that uses the P60 or P90 bulb you can use the WE 3.7V, 6V and 9V.

The best deal going IMHO, is the WE 3.7V and charger. You get 80 Lumens out of a 2 CR123A battery light.

C4

Ok, great, another crack deal coming!

Shhh, don’t tell everybody!

C4

What are the gold caps on the Wolf Eyes battery and what are the 2 different lengths for?

They are not on the battery, but in the recharger system. They are simply spacers. The 9V rechargeable batts and the 6V rechargeable batts are different lengths.

C4

Do Wolf Eyes lamps work with normal 123 batts?

The only bulb that cannot be used with regular CR123A is the 3.7 bulb. All the other WE bulbs (6V and 9V) will work just fine.

With that being said, you get better performance out of the bulbs (about another 20 lumens) when you use their rechargeable system. For instance, the 80 lumens 6V turns into 100 lumens and the 200 lumens 9V turns into 220 lumens.

C4

Any way to make one of these QD and mount at 9 o’clock? I have not had good luck with the Vltor mount in the past and trying to use it as QD.

Are you talking about the new SF M78/79 mounts? If so, you can mount them at ANY position you want. (12, 3, 6, 9).

C4

Grant how would you compare your 6 and 9 volt system to the surefire M95-Series and M96-Series.

Well my lights are cheaper, more powerful and lighter. The MILL. weaponlights are much more rugged though. I stock the SF’s as well and think they are an awesome light so you really cannot go wrong with either.

C4

Possibly, I was unaware of those mounts. Is it a thumb screw?

This should answer your questions: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=533

C4

Hmm, looks like a possiblity. What I’d really like is a Larue light mount with a straight offset insead of the drop on their current mount.

I ordered a WG6D for my PS90 and just placed another order for one after seing the quality of the bodies.

Grant, these lights are very well made. It’s nice to see someone looking out for the little people.

You can’t beat these lights for the price. Don’t hesitate to buy one if you’re in the market for a quality weapon light.
