I had to replace an out of spec piece of shit STAG selector switch on one of my newer builds… so I ordered a COLT from Brownells. I’ve never seen a selector like this.
My photo skills and camera both suck… especially when using a flash, but anyway… There’s a little “S” on the selector too… right there by the rear selector stop on the receiver. Is this what current production guns are coming with?

These are what colts ship with now, they changed over a while back. Both of my 6920s came with the new style. Supposedly more robust than the original design.
A quick look through the picture thread shows both styles in use on tier 1 guns.
I’ve had two 6920’s and a 6450 come with identical selector switches over the past three years.
those are the new colt’s selectors…you can install them on the right side if you’re lefty 
They’ve shipped that way for at least 1.5-2yrs now. Early ones weren’t reversible but I’ve noticed that for the last 5 months or so they are reversible.
My experience as well. I first saw them on Diemaco guns, 6520s particularly. 3 years ago, or so.
What exactly was wrong with the Stag selector?
The friggin channel where the trigger tail moves in on the safety was milled WAY TOO narrow. Obvious to the naked eye even…
It would float towards the left side of the lower and not allow the trigger to move correctly. I half ass modified it to get it pretty functional. Then it started acting up in the SAFE position.
After ordering one of the KAC style relieved ambi-selectors from a fellow on TOS, I was turned off by Stag parts. He usually made them from LMT selectors but was out at the time. My Stag selector stuck out on the right side by about an 1/8" and the weak side lever was milled out too much to where it was paper thin where the screw attached. I got rid of it and will only buy quality parts. I stuck with my factory Colt selector until I find a company that makes quality ambi-selectors.
My 6920 came with a selector like that (purchased last summer).
My 6920 and 6940 have that style. I didn’t notice they were reversable when I replaced them with an Ambi safety.
The ambi’s tend to press into your hand along the index finger when on safe.
Its annoying, but I am trying to convince myself that it is a convenient indicator of selector setting without having to reach up and feel or check the safety.
But its nice to know this info
That’s one of the many things I hated about the Sig 556 creation. If I tried to switch the safety to fire with my finger indexed, it just didn’t work.
I didn’t know this COLT was reversable. I just installed it without giving it a close look.
