So I was out with my girlfriend tonight enjoying a nice sushi dinner. We got onto the discussion of how soccer players sometimes fake getting hurt with even the lightest knick from the other player.
Thats when she brought up how a “friend” of hers once told her that his legs were registered as an “assault” weapon.
She went on to say that he explained to her that since his dad was a Former Navy Seal, he had his arms and legs registered and because he was the son, also had to be “registered” since they were so dangerous. He told her “if I even touch you with these legs, i could go to jail.”
I think i laughed for about… oh… 20 minutes. Just thought you’all would like to hear this one.
Note:
We’ve been dating for almost 7 months and shes been with me to buy numerous “assault weapons” so she knew he was bullpooping her. She obviously didnt believe this bafoon and just thought I’d like to hear it…
have a good night fellow M4Carbiners. I think tomorrow, im gonna go register my arms and legs too. Anyone wanna come?
Waaaait. He was a former Navy Seal but NOT a Marine Sniper in Vietnam??? Heck, everyone knows you have to be at least both, or at least Delta Force.
I actually hold several black belts (4 to be exact) (if you need proof IM me and i will provide), I have a friend who is a police officer and we were talking about chuck norris jackie chan and all the rumors that they are in police records as a deadly weapon or what not, none of its true, there is no record or registeration process for hand to hand combat.
So i always get a big laugh out of storys like these.
The only possiblity of it being a problem is during a court case where you were involved the prosicuter or defense attorny (whoever is agiasnt) you will bring it up if he finds out and make you look like your the same skill set of chuck norris or jet lee and say you could have stopped them without harm.
Speaking of chuck I met him once at a tournament, hes a real class act guy.
Sort of like the beginning of ConAir, where the judge tells nick cage he shouldn’t have been fightin’ cuz he’s a trained killing machine. I had a buddy who told me a similar story about how people w/ hand-to-hand training are more culpable in court. Not quite as stupid as the OP’s story but almost.
Dumbest thing I ever heard was from an idiot on trial for failure to pay child support. Several years ago I drew jury duty and had to listen to this idiot go on for hours about how the universe had conspired against him.
According to him, his problems started when he was kidnapped my McVeigh and barely managed to get out of the truck that exploded in front of the Federal building in Oklahoma.
I’m serious … he actually made this claim in open court!
To a certain extent Striker we are more culpable in court, because people with extensive self defence training and or offensive training, we are expected to be able to do it all and not cause harm, when in fact martial arts training is really based on causing harm to protect yourself.
Police officer for instance, they are expected to detain and control a suspect laced up on PCP without causing harm, its barely possible as we know, but there have been court cases of police brutality of someone laced with PCP and other drugs, in which police caused unintentional harm to the suspect during the fight or detaining process.
That being said, its a non issue about martial artist in courts, it has been tried in court but never suceeded in the way the offensive/defense attorny intended.
It’s impossible for Chucks Arms and Legs to be registered Weapons. Besides not needing weapons. If word got out that Chuck was a Registered Weapon. The Libs would demand he be Disarmed:D
Here are some I heard.
Pistol Instructor who beleived he was going to show us how much he knew. Had the Students figure out their dominant eye on the first day. He then wanted to make half of them change firing hands. Talking handgun here.
Higher up explaining why the person in question wasn’t being fired “I told him the only thing that saved is ass, there wasn’t an accident” So you can do stupid shit as long as you don’t get someone shot:rolleyes:
Bunch of VIP’S watching a CQB Demo. The General asks “How do you guys get those weapons to cycle without Blank Adapters” We had to explain that they were live rounds. We had a live Hostage in the room, targets on both sides of him, shoulder to shoulder. General never came back to visit again.
Blasting caps will blow up if dropped, stepped on or shot. Did the test. They don’t blow up easy.
My favorite, Advertisements stating "Used by Special Forces, SEALS, Operators…etc. on todays Deadly Battlefield.
I had real smart guy walk up to me at an ATM once with his finger in his jacket pocket and asked forcibly for a “donation”(Give me the money MFer) I asked, is that a gun? He said you#%$@& know it is! And I stated like this? As I pulled my 442 Smith from my jacket pocket that was pointed at his center mass during the entire conversation. I don’t think he was an enthusiast, I actually think he broke the the 30 sec mile. Odd I thought, I showed you mine…
This morning I went to get my morning coffee after leaving work with a few buddies (I showed them this thread since I found it pretty funny) (We worked late… till about 5am and so we got the day off).
We get there and there is this guy (18-20) telling this girl his arms are registered weapons!
We cracked every joke on him thats in here. He got upset and said that its not a joke… then I asked him to show is CWL for those “guns” and we all broke out laughing hystarically (including the girl)!
Maybe not that easily, but will they will go off. I have some photos of people who were crimping caps with their teeth. When they do go off, they do a lot of damage. These are not something to play with.
