Fundamental Marksmanship Rifle Class 8 Mar 08

I.M.T. llc. Will hold an Intermediate Level Precision Rifle Class “ILPRC”

This class is for students that have a skill set of average to above average. The goal of this class is student safety and the intergraded act of shooting one round. When the student’s class is over we want them to leave with the following:

  1. A safe understanding of how a bullet gets down range and safe firearms handling
  2. The confidence to engage any type of target out to 500yds within 1 MOA accuracy 70% of the time.
  3. The confidence to trouble shoot marksmanship errors made by them or others in there vicinity
  4. The ability to use a milliradian or minute of angle reticle to find the targets range, to adjust misses and for hold over / unders

Timeline for ILPRC

The time line for ILPRC is based upon seven things:

  1. Is this an 10 hour class

  2. 50 minute’s of training and 10 minute brake

  3. Talk, walk and run training style.

During a 10 hour ILPRC we will briefly cover the milliradian, minute of angle reticle shooting topics to get the student familiar with this system. Each hour will be broke down in a 50 min time line with a 10 min break. This lets the student have down time to relax and prevent burnout during the class.

The talk, walk and run training style are at the root of all I.M.T. llc. classes. The instructors will talk and show the student how to do a task. Then the instructors will supervise the student in doing that task and lastly the student will perform that task to standard. For all training events every student will have a fellow student act as a “buddy” to help and supervise there actions. This gives both student and “buddy” an added benefit.

The buddy gets to watch and learn from there partner. From this action they learn how to trouble shoot marksmanship and improve their shooting skills. This also directly affects the impact I.M.T. llc. has on the shooting community.

Completion of ILPRC

A student can receive two types of certificates. A certificate of training for meeting the set standard as outlined in IMT Instructor ILPRC booklet or a certificate of attendance. The difference between the two types of certificates are:

A student makes the standard he/she receives a certificate of training. If the student does not meet the standard with a passing rate of 70% on all tests they receive a certificate of attendance.
