Fascinating documentary on an Army Built Iraqi town in the Mojave Desert built to teach the fundamentals of Counterinsurgency Warfare to deploying units. Native Iraqis and Iraq vets play the inhabitants and insurgents respectively.
It’s apolitical and gives a good idea, especially to the civilian world, of the problems faced in Counterinsurgency. It’s definitely NOT about urban warfare although that plays a role.
