I want to attach my VTAC sling to my Knights RAS. Is a good option for a sling adapter? I wanted to avoid the plastic VTAC version.

I use one exactly like that. It has worked well.
For QD rail mounts like I the DD as it has rotation limit build in so your sling doesn’t get twisted around. I think its the 7101, and they cost about 30 bucks a pop.

Good point and that is the one issue I have with the MI
The Midwest Industries MCTAR-08HD is anti-rotational. The MCTAR-08 (non-heavy duty version) doesn’t say anything about being anti-rotational. That’s the reason I went with the HD.

I like the looks of these QD’s from Gear Sector. All the usual colors, same rotation limits, and their profile matches that of most of the rail covers out there. They have mounts for regular sling, HK hooks, and push-button QD.
The HD adaptor from MI is top-notch. I was more than satisfied with mine while running a 2pt. VTAC. It does prevent over-rotation of the QD swivel and was a good fit on my MRP. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
On another note, this is my first time posting here on M4Carbine.net. I’ve been impressed with the quality of discussion on the site, and look forward to getting to know the M4C community in the coming months.
Unless I missing something the last time I checked we sold several sling attachment devices and none of them are plastic.

The non-HD isn’t anti-rotational, it’s still good to go however. That being said, I wish I had gotten the HD as constantly having to untwist the sling gets very annoying very fast.
Personally, I’m on a HK snap hook kick right now.
