Front Sight Question

I recently purchased an Eotech xps for my ar and I replaced the front sight with YHM front filp up sight/gas block. The YHM sight has 4 allen screws that hold it to the barrel. I was wondering if this was suffice and sturdy enough for rugged conditions vs the standard a frame sight.
Thanks for any help!

As sturdy as a fixed, pinned front sight? Nope, sure isn’t.
Are you likely to notice? Probably not.
I would have just left the fixed sight in place.

Had the same thought. I figured if I ever knocked my folding front sight into something it would twist and be off point. So when I bought my front sight I intentionally hit the side of the sight where I had mounted a flashlight to it. (Not the sight but the light ring mounted)… Never twisted. I’m sure it wont be as strong as the pinned version but snug bolts with loctite seem to work…

I had one that would rotate all the time. I was constantly having to realign it. My advice to you is re-install the original FSB or buy something that you can have pinned on.
