Front Sight Post Adjustment Issue

Today at the range I needed to adjust my front sight on my MI front BUIS lower (to shift shot placement up, I think that’s correct?) Anyways, a bullet tip could not reach it, even using a sturdy, thick needle took a whole lot of effort (even for 1 click), I’m wondering if I’ve bottomed out my FSP or if something else is wrong. I could only move it one click lower than it was, at 50 yds, my shots were 2" low, is this enough to put them on target? I hope so, because it will be hell to adjust it any lower.

If you need the post to go lower, you could always file a little off the post…
