i did not want to hijack the other thread, so i seriously want to ask you all, how many on this forum will really adhere to this long standing phrase, “From My Cold Dead Hands” we all have talked big at times so, i just wonder how many here on this forum and across this great country will pledge and swear to, “From My Cold Dead Hands”
too many times i have read where, “if i resist and get killed, who will take care of my family ?” these guys are the jellyfish of the human race, they will fold faster than an Easter Lilly in a tornado
com’on folks, pledge that you will not fold, bend or allowed to be mutilated, show that you are a real man with real principals, folks like this are todays patriotic Minutemen !
who will be the first to fire the next shot heard around the world ??
I’ll not be that hero. I find sucking air to be something that I want to keep doing for a long time. I plan to suck air with my children, with my wife, and while doing things that I enjoy.
I am the spine-less jellyfish you speak of. I will resist any anti 2A moves in peacefull offense, but honestly… when the men in black parachute into my yard to take my guns, I’ll offer them a clear path to the safe. So will many other folks who find being dead… a real shitty end to your day.
One could assume that the entire idea behind fighting the police/military at your front door is a sign of insanity. You would stand no chance of victory, and yes… they would be removing your gun from your WARM dead and bloody hands. What will you prove, what will you gain? Your dead. You lost. You pissed them off, and now they will be more violent and agry to the next door they encounter.
I don’t see it as a plan for a wise man.
Go ahead, string me up, tell me how silly I am… but I live in a place called real life. Come visit some time!
I guess it’s good you weren’t around during The Revolution. I always thought that inalienable rights were a given and worth fighting and if necessary dying for. However an online pledge means nothing at the end of the day and if the previous poster is lucky, maybe enough people will have refused to give up their 2A rights that the government won’t make you give up yours.
Many of the patriots during the American revolution, at first tried to work with the King of England and Parliment. They did not set out initially to start a revolution and form a new country. At the start of the revolution, public opinion was swayed against it.
No one in black helicopters is coming for our guns yet. Until they do, guys like Larry0071, and I will still peacefully fight for our 2nd Amendment rights. We will remain members of, or join, the NRA and the GOA. We will call and write our elected officials. We will stay active and involved with Federal, State and Local Elections.
At this point, and I’m not saying this is you heijutsu, all this talk about revolting and overthrowing tyranical governments on various talk boards, is doing nothing more than to scare my neighbors. When the media goes to gun shows and gun stores, they always get that one guy talking about armed revolt. I’m sorry, but I find that talk counterproductive.
I will do everything, legally, in my power to fight for my Second Amendment Rights. That is the only oath that I can give you.
This thread is pointlesss and will probably sink into oblivion in the not too distant future.
One side will swear that they will fight it out until the last BB has been expended.
The other side will throw their weapons out the window and then gleefully place the armband on their arm as they join ranks with the masses.
In the end what do we have out of it? Nothing! People will do what their conscience and their upbringing tells them to do just like the Founding Fathers did and others won’t. That’s all there is to it and talking about it here will do nothing.
Ok, nobody is going to like this because we all like to converse on the web about all manner of topics…but:
Remember that all of you are connected to your Form username and everything you say here and anywhere else is out there for all the world to read. The more you talk about revolt and all those types of topics, the closer you come to the top of the “shoot me first” list.
What people dont understand is no one wins this fight because we are either talking submission to tyranny, civil war, or revolution.
Sounds good on paper, but wait until the shelves at walmart goes bare, water stops working and you cant get electricity. Your wife and kids are vulnerable to bands of gangs at night, and during the day Apaches are blowing shit up down the block while you drive pass tanks and armed federal soldiers.
Anyone talking about this in a public forum is stupid, no matter what your beliefs are.
I personally am committed to honoring, obeying, and sustaining lawful/legal/moral laws.
I am more worried about masses revolting because the handouts they were promised aren’t there than I am of the black helicopters dropping dudes off in my neighborhood.
The other side will throw their weapons out the window and then gleefully place the armband on their arm as they join ranks with the masses.
I do hope that you do not feel that I am this guy… I just do not harbor dreams of sticking a barrel out the window of my home and shooting at the 10 body armor clad trained warriors that would be sent to do gun collections should a day like that come to pass. I am a realist, I will and have done my part to the best my ability to support the NRA and GOA, I send emails and make phone calls. I do not ever wish for a time such as that spoken about by the OP, but should it be, I do not see myself as some armor clad super hero that can turn the tides of the Federal Govt. It will be, what it will be. If they disarm America, many will die, I feel certain that there are those like our founding fathers that will be very willing to die for the rightious cause. I am sad to report that I am not so willing to sacrifice my life for my guns, because without life… material things are meaningless.
This is a debate that will find no end, and there will be no center-point to agree upon. Each man has his own convictions and that in the end will dictate his reactions to all things he faces in life. These questions…honestly… should not be asked. They only lead to men arguing over thier inherent differences in opinions. But it is these opinions and varying views that make the human condition so interesting. We need warriors, and we need leaders. It takes many kinds of people to make up this country.
God bless you all, and find peace within yourself and your loved ones…it is the most important.
