Friend is selling Mak 90. Should I get it?

My friend has decided to sell his post ban, slant cut receiver Mak 90. I last saw it about year ago, before it was taken to his grandpa’s house by his libtard mother (long story). From what I can remember, the AK was in mostly good condition. Corrosive ammo was shot through it at one point years ago by my friend’s dad and never cleaned. The AK spent a few days at my house. My dad cleaned it and we didn’t see any major damage, but I do remember some minor rust/pitting on the crown. The finish wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t real bad either. It felt rough compared to my dad’s Hungarian underfolder.

My friend is hoping to get an offer of $200-300 for it from a gun store. Should I jump on it for that price range?

If he’d sell it to you for 200, or even 250, I’d jump on it ASAP. Rust, finish issues, etc are negligible for that kind of money. If it works reliably, its definately worth it, if not just to hold on to as trade bait.

No more than $300.00.

Ironwood Designs will sell you a stock set made for the Chinese slant cut MAK-90’s.

If you can get $200 out of him, I’d get it and dump it on gunbroker for a profit.

sounds like a decent deal to me.
