Need probably somewhere around 200 rounds I would think, maybe more. Looking for a source with a good price and quality stock.
Best makes/models to look for?

In the past, Dan’s Ammo in PA usually has some for a decent price.
I just checked, and Dan’s has Fiocchi frang for $420 per 1K, or $50 per 100.
Any idea if that stuff has any kind of flash retardant in the powder?
Shot some in the shoot houses at Blackwater in low light, didn’t notice anything more or less than typical XM193 out of a 16" 6920 with a standard A2.
SG Ammo has Winchester frang in stock.
I like the M556NT1. Junky frangible ammo with no jacket with trash your throat.
I load my own now using RRLP bullets from Barnes. Still kind of expensive, but I can do a little at a time as needed.
Silver State Armory sells some. Might check them out.
That’s a good price for the Winchester from SG and is what is used at several of the local ranges. However, another +1 for reloads using the Barnes RRLP round. Nice metal jacket that doesn’t damage my steel targets. I won’t use Fiocchi frangible. It does more damage to my steel targets than using fmj rounds.
I wound up ordering the 55gr Winchester from here

Not sure if it matters, but felt better about the Winchester name as well as the 55 grain.
Just curious is the frangible ammo a requirement for something or just something you want to try out??
indoor range.
Many indoor ranges require frangible. I mainly use an outdoor range but use it on steel targets when at close range. Splatter from fmj bullets bouncing off of steel targets can really sting (& hurt). My friend had a piece a metal hit him in the face once. Ouch. Much safer to use frangible.
That’s why I use it. It’s cheapest to load your own if you can.
