When I was looking for a gun forum, I wanted something with a membership that consisted of people who SHOOT their firearms, pee in the sink, and will eat their traveling companions in an emergency. I found it in M4C.
Now I would like to find similar forums for photography and pool/billiards. The photography forums I’ve seen are largely populated by pacifist hippies and bored housewives who can’t spell or complete a sentence. Forums for billiards enthusiasts seem to be made up of ex-heroin addicts using the computer at the library, or high-and-mighty rich pricks that own eleventy billion cues but have never actually played a game.
I’m willing to accept that what I’m looking for may not exist, but any suggestions are appreciated.

This year I got into fish tanks, and have 4 active fish tanks in my house now.
Son’s room- 10 gal with danios, shrimp, and plants.
20 gal in my office with Tiger Barbs, african root wood, and plants.
20 gal in my office with live rock, small fish, crabs, snails, and shrimps.
40 gal salt water in living room with crabs, shrimps, snails, live rock, and fish.
I peruse reefcentral.com which is kinda the m4carbine of the SW world. People will jump your shit for having one tiny thing out of order, having a fish rated at 50 gallons in a 40 gal tank. There is a crew called the “Tang Police”.
But its all in the interest of the fish, and not lazy techniques that mean dead fish or harm to live stock. You’ll get excellent advice…they just have their quirks to people asking questions and giving out advice.
Their “GD” is a no politics type of thing so its filled with the “crew/clique” who say whatever they want and act like 2 year olds.
