I’ve heard the new Vltor VIS will be forged like the MUR. Will this be a one piece forging or will it still be “welded” together (or whatever that process is called that joins the forend and upper).
i think its called “salt dip brazing”…at least for the old VIS. don’t know anything about a new one.
The first VISs were salt brazed; the later ones were welded. Both mine are welded, but they are billets, butI don’t know how Vltor will fabricate the new forged VISs.
