? for those of you with button holsters

Do you thread your belt through them or snap them on and off every day?

This is a Monica Keuhn, and I have a similar MS VM2. I like the holsters a lot, but my old holsters from when I was carrying polymer had spring steel clips that held them to the belt. Obviously buttoning and unbuttoning will wear out the parts over time, but it this the intended way to put on and remove the holster daily? Thanks in advance for answering a rookie question!

Not to hijack your thread, but that holster looks almost identical to the VMII, even down to the stamping of the logo. I realize there are only so many ways to design a holster, but if I were Milt Sparks, I’d be pissed.

To answer your question, I’ve been using VMIIs for about 10 years, and never had a problem with wearing out buttons. I use the buttons about half the time.

Oh no hijack, they’re very similar! I wasn’t sure which came first, but presumably it was MS. The MS is a little heavier, and uses thicker leather. It also has reinforcement that the Kuehn does not. Both are very comfortable, and I couldn’t tell you which I had on without looking. But without a doubt Milt pays more attention to detail, and in fact, probably overbuilds their holsters. Here’s a comparison.
