For once I found a deal at my local fun shop.

I think some of the gun shops around here are finally starting to get it. Keep up with internet pricing or go out of business. I just bought a case, 1000 rounds of PMC X-TAC 62 gr green tip ammo for $310.00 out the door. This is the same place that sold 20 rd boxes of Wolf for $8.00 a box 6 months ago. I know I probably could have found the PMC slightly cheaper on line but this was way more convenient for me. Anyway I’m happy.

Nice. Surplus Ammo & Arms has good ammo prices and they are just on the other side of Seattle from me

Always be sure to check AIM Surplus, as well. They have some amazing deals. $295 right now for a 1,000 rd case of that ammo, and $290 for 1,000 rds of Prvi M193.

My local guns shops are 100% useless, im glad you have a decent one.

Mine have crappy service, ridiculous prices, and dont do transfers.

The only thing they are good for is fondling a gun I want to buy online.

I’ve found that most of my local sporting goods stores are comparable enough to online vendors.

By the time I pay any hazardous fees, it’s just not worth it online, unless you are buying more than 1K rounds.

The major hole in that argument is that you do not pay haz-mat fees on loaded ammo, it only has to ship ground.

You only pay haz-mat on powder and primers.

You’re right. I just had those fees on my brain because a recently was powder shopping.

I like AIM surplus due to the fact that they have pretty good pricing, but I’m not a big fan of having to submit a copy of my DL to them when most places do not require this.

I just watch the online sales.

Cabela’s just ran a sale for Federal 223 for $5.29 box/$264.50 a case.

Shipping $0.50

It wasn’t worth it for me to make the 1 hr drive to pick it up!

Ghost, do you ever go to the shop right off of 520 behind that 711?

The one with an indoor range. Its been awhile since I have been there, cant remember the name

I have bought a few things there but I have not shot there in years.

Well I shot some of it today and had good results. This is all off the bench using sandbags as a rest.

First 5 shots out of a cold 14.5" barrel at 100 yards

Second grouping of 10 shots at 100 yards.

Third group at 100 yards after the barrel started heating up.

I know these are not MOA target grade groups but it will do the job out to a 100 yards. I need to find a longer range.
