that is, if I load the rounds to magazine length. Single-loaded .010 off the lands, it’s a laser. Mag length, not so much. Anyone have suggestions here (other than Get it Rechambered, can’t with a CL barrel)?
Try a different bullet with a fatter ogive.
Did you shoot a ladder test? Did you try diffrent powder and primer combinations. The SMK is not a jump sensitive bullet. Tell me what your load is and at what range you fired this group?
That’s weird. We Jump SMKs a mile and they don’t lose any accuracy… 
The best I can get with factory Federal 7.62mm 175gr Match is 1 MOA. Which load are you asking about, the one that shoots, or the one that doesn’t?
And I think I may have a solution - CDI bottom metal with AICS magazines - they’ll accept 3.910" rounds.

I suppose I am asking in general. The soloution is a center fed wayytes extended mag. What range are you testing at?
Just under TWICE your .010… not quite .020 though…
100 yards underground, 200 yards outdoors so far. The REALLY good load is under .300" in the underground range, repeatedly. This is it:
175gr SMK, moly-coated
Lake City M118LR brass, primer pocket and flash hole uniformed
Federal 210M primer
44.0gr RL15 LR (military packed powder. It’s RL15.)
OAL 2.885
This load appears to shoot half-minute at 100 only if you’re fucking up. If you’re driving it perfectly, it’s under .3. I fired six 5-round groups and got three under .3 and the other two under .450, which I think were my fault. essentially the same result, plus it’s leaning very hard on 2700fps. Figuring that’s just about perfection, I had to figure out a way to get it to feed from a magazine.
I sent the gun to CDI Precision to be fit with his bottom metal that uses AICS mags. Apparently removing the spacer in the front of the mag will allow feeding of rounds almost 3.000 in length.
I’m happy this solution presented itself. I really didn’t want to give up that chrome-lined barrel, and considering the accuracy it’s shown itself to be capable of, and the durability I expect out of it, this should be a shit-hot stick when I get it back.
