Which rifle is better ?

I’ve shot both. I have a lot of friends that have shot both and owned both. If SOCOM thought that the Sig family of rifles was better than the SCAR, I’m sure they would have adopted it considering it is cheaper and more readily available from the Swiss.

Chalk up another vote for the SCAR.
Out of the people in that thread, JoshNC’s comments are the most telling. That is a guy who loves his SIGs.
You get what you pay for. Wich rifle costs more? There ya go…
One of my best friends offered to trade his SCAR for my Sig swat, I already have one SCAR, so after the trade, I will have 2 SCAR and no Sigs .

His SCAR will come in card board box with one mag.
SCAR. Reasons?
1.) Ambidextrous mag release.
2.) Left mounted, reversible charging handle.
3.) Punching mag release doesn’t require hand shifting.
4.) Selector switch easier to actuate.
5.) SCAR is less front heavy
6.) Adjustable cheek riser.
7.) Quick caliber changes (although I never got the chance to use that)
8.) Tool-less disassembly (Sig 556 required screwdriver for front pin)
That’s all I can think of for now…
I am not a SCAR fan, but the SCAR has gone through some of the most relevant testing, elicited corrections from real gunfighters, and is sticking the enemies of our nation into shallow graves as we speak.
The Sig is a toy marketed to the Counterstrike crowd that has proven to be the next most disappointing 5.56 assault to the ACR.

Haha didn’t you know? Pushing the selector past auto turns the SCAR into a hyper-dimensional vortex generator!
Serious question for you though lionheart, what model Pelican case is that? 1700? I’m looking to get one for my SCAR but it looks like the 16" barrel is a tight fit (much less having room for proper accessories ;))
I think I might go with the 1720, but in either case it looks like it would hold two SCARS.

I think , I will have to buy 1720 for better fit for 2 SCARs.
I just wish that I could afford one SCAR.
