I did a search and found a thread from January saying that the magazine issue is going to be “dealt” with in the 2nd quarter of this year. My own search on pricing seems to put them around $40-$60. Is this the price for FN made magazines? Are there any aftermarket producers yet? Any updates or new pricing and availablity? Just curious because a friend of mine just picked up a scar 17.

MSRP is supposed to be $38. Anything over that indicates continued supply issues.

Looks like my thread got moved…sorry mods. Thanks for the posts guys, I was curious as to what people who own the SCAR 17 were paying for their magazines. Maybe there are still some problems with supply out there.
Still haven’t seen any locally at either gun shows or my local dealers (NoVA area). Still waiting on my backorder from Midway from last May. Last stash I saw go on EE here was ~ $80/mag. The sad thing is I might have taken him up on it if I’d seen the posting in time…I only have 3 mags, which makes running my 17 in a class out of the question.
I’m at a loss as to why no other manufacturer has started making usable 17 mags…they’d make enough scratch off those to maybe even move the needle on the national debt.
I was recently quite close to buying an FN SCAR 17S and changed plans due to the lack of availability of magazines. I switched to a Larue OBR with those funds, which was also on my “roadmap”.
Hopefully by next year’s tax return time there will be enough supply in the marketplace and I’ll get that 17.
Gosh, I googled FN Scar 17 magazines and got a laundry list of sellers and prices. The list did NOT show availablity however. I hope availability starts to pick up and prices begin to fall.
i recently picked up 4 scar 17 mags for 49 bucks a pop atmy LGS, there are several sellers on gunbrokwe selling them and one guy has them for 225 for 5. i geuss they are strating to trickle out since up until a couple of weeks ago it was darn hard to find them anywhere and guyes were asking a buck fifty per mag.
Just got an email from FN that the 8 black SCAR 17 mags I ordered last month are shipping. $40 each woot!
I wonder when they’re going to ship the FDE ones I ordered in fucking September.
