Hey guys, are the FN SCAR’s available in black, or will they be? Thanks.
Yes. Saw one on Gunbroker.
I watched 2 of them sell very quickly for $3000.00/each a few days ago.
Ok thanks.
there is 2 for sale on sturm. 4000. coughripoffcough
Here ya go, decent price as well. Of course there are a few tools on their trying to get $7500 plus for the new “hard to get” black SCAR

Think the current black version is the limited version from FN. Which is most likely just an attempt to squeeze out a few extra bucks before they start mass producing the black models.
There are a lot of black SCARs on GB right now. Best deals start at $2700 and are buy it now for $2900.
I swung by the local cop shop and they actually had two on the wall - one black, one FDE. The guy said, “they’re really expensive” and said $2495 for either color. I had visions of buying the black one and trying to flip it - then I remembered I don’t have an FFL…
The rifles felt pretty nice. Stock is as described - felt a little flimsy. The barrel was very thin - much thinner than the light weight AR barrels in the racks. Pretty nice gun overall.
Spooky
There is one on GB with a buy it now of 7499. Says FN limited black edition
I honestly can’t figure out how a guy could say that with 5 or 6 other black SCARs on Gunbroker at the time… Really, who does that?
Spooky
“limited edition” is the second most overused phrase in the english language next to “premium ingredients”
Negative,
imo the most overused phrase in the English language is … “Good Pussy”.
Handled one today.
Really tempting overall to get.
Interesting to note though - the anodizing job was just horrific on the upper receiver. Inside the slots on all of the top rails was an un/under dyed area roughly 4-5 mm^2 in size. I’m not an anodizing technician, though I’ve had plenty of parts anodized and am familiar with the gist of the process, but I don’t know how you wind up with anodizing voids like that.
Spooky130 sent you a PM.
I think the “limited edition” here is just related to the first 200 rifles, just like with the FDE versions.
If the rifle ends up being produced in numbers, this first batch could have colector value.
Any idea what price fn sells directly to le?
Shot a friend’s FDE SCAR and love it but will wait patiently for the black model to become a regular production model and for the price to come down…![]()
From my understanding, there is no “special edition” black SCAR. Guys are just advertising them as “special” so they can ridiculously inflate the prices ( like Lees Pawn and Gun is doing on Gunbroker). The first release FDE SCARS actually came with a bunch of accessories and in a Pelican case. I havent seen anything similar with the black ones.
A local shop here has a black one on the way for 2650. They also have a FDE in stock for the same price.
