Are there any flip sights (front and rear) that would fit the TR model after installing the Aimpoint Micro T-1 red dot sight? Not sure how much rail space I’d have left over.
PS 90 rail is way to short for any kind of flip up sites. You can just fit a full sized aimpoint on there with a small bit of room to spare. Even if you put BUIS on there, they would be so close as to be useless.
I had magpul backup sights on my MSAR before I sold it (see the pic below). But the MSAR rail is a little longer than the TR PS90’s rail is.
I did sight them in at 50 yards, but while I could easily hit a target at 50 yards - group size wasn’t that great.
You are talking about the distance that a long barrelled pistol might have between rear and front sights.
I turned my front sight around to get a little more distance. A set of Magpul pop up sights are not that expensive.
That being said - I think they would look terrible on a PS90.

Thanks for the replys.Thats what I thought also. But wasnt 100% sure.
The USG model has back up sights set for 25 meters, and the new “standard” model has a peep sight built into the rail. The tri-rail unfortunately has no back up iron sights.
If you want a backup to the optic I recommend a laser. Adjust the beam to the same position as the red dot when viewed through the optic. If the red dot fails turn on the laser and look through the optic as you normally would.
My USG model has rudimentary irons built into each side of the optic. I would trust them for much beyond room distances but they are there.
Now I’m just pulling this out of left field, the dimensions of the sight, the rail, and the back up sights might not allow it but here goes…
What about HK MP7 sights? They arent too terribly big, and when folded down, they have backup “pistol sights” that stick up. I wonder if these rudimentary ‘pistol sights’ would stick up far enough to be visible through the T1’s tube? Folded upward, they would be too high, but folded down, the backups might just be tall enough. Not accurate for anything but backup, but then again thats all youre looking for, right?
Just a thought, again I dont have a PS90 on hand so I cannot try this
Found this pic on google, may be real may be a toy, but either way it appears dimensionally correct. This should give you an idea of the height-over-rail of the MP7 sights

Yes,back-ups are all im concerned about. I never used any type of optic w/out them. Probably wouldnt have to ever use them. But I’d feel better about having them on there.
I feel the same way. I will not use an optic’d rifle unless it has at least a 1/3 cowitness. Dunno why, but I too just feel better about it that way
I meant to write the TRIRAIL doesn’t have backup sights. I did state earlier in that statement that the USG had them. Typo ![]()
