We recently got our FN account and was wondering if anyone has one of these? I handled them at Shot, but that is all (never fired one).
They look like a winner (4" slide and 17rd capacity).

Nobody owns one of these??? ![]()

4" barrel right? Slide would be longer.
Haven’t seen one yet.
I’ve thought about getting one and went to the shop to handle one earlier this week.
I like the size and the features…my only hesitation has been that it seems to be so obscure and doesn’t have much of a resume (although it wouldn’t get pushed hard at all living under my roof).
What’s the msrp on those?
Don’t really know. We are going to sell them for around $500 I think.
C4
Good price (as usual for you, Grant). Best price I’ve seen elsewhere is about $575 at Bud’s (using a CC).
The local ripoff joint here is selling them for $700.
Local rip-off joint huh.
You mean your local FFL dealer?
What is funny is the locals most likely say the same thing about me as I only stock high end gear (no hi-points and such).

looked at these, then ended up going another direction. think my hesitation was the same as others, not enough use information on these.
I shot one over the weekend in the 3gun Nation shoot-off at the BRM3G match in KY. It seemed fine. The FN guys did say the sights are designed to cover up the area the bullet would impact as opposed tot the traditional method of the bullet impacting at the tip of the front sight.

I handled one too, but have not shot it. I came real close to getting one because I love my FNP45 so much and these (as I understand it) have the same "Decocker / Safety as the FNP45 and HK45?
The trigger felt super smooth like my 45. This is their new and improved version. If they were a big marketing hype company, it would be introduced more aggressively and there would be solid resume in place. I think it is a great gun for $500.00
Exactly ![]()
Those crazy locals should consider themselves fortunate…I’d be “broker” than I am now if you were just around the corner.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for you to get these in and maybe see some range reports from people…
It’s a Glock for guys that like SIGs.
I’ve shot them a lot. They’re awesome.
Don’t even hesitate. ![]()
Interesting analogy.

This is a very big deal to me. I’d be interested in the FNX or the FNP if I could figure out the major differences and if I knew that they’d have the support I’d need.
Would like to handle and shoot one of each, and put them next to the G19s I’m used to.
What’s the difference between this and an FNP?
I might bite on one of those. They come with three mags and according to the web site only weigh 21 oz, pretty good. I also like the all stainless construction. I haven’t seen one in person but FN is a company I could see giving the benefit of the doubt on something like this if they get decent reviews.
The biggest difference, from what I can tell is a lower bore axis, hammer forged barrel and 4 different backstraps.

These pistols are made in the US and FN has a good track record for building quality combat guns.
I might have to be the guinea pig and buy one so that I can report back on it.

I only have about 100 rounds through a demo gun but I was quite impressed with the one I shot. They are quality pistols from a reputable manufacturer. The Glock analogy above is a good one. I will add that they are the polymer pistol SIG should have built. If only they would offer a trigger combination other than DA/SA.
There is no functional difference between the FNP and the FNX.
