If 15 people show it will be better to get the private range. The cost is 100 for the first person and 20 each additional. Comes out to 380.00 for all 15 people. Divided up is 25.33 a person. The gallery which is what you would need for this is 30.00 a person. The set up for the normal range will not work but only cost 15.00 a person. The normal non Gallery range has individual shooting stations and no room for enough people to stand behind to watch comfortably because there is a railing 3 foot behind all the way down the shooting line. Now the Gallery has open fold out tables all lined up next to each other and you can shoot steel or tanerite or your own targets and full auto all of which is not permitted on the regular range. But neither of which can we shoot pistols and rifles next to each other. I believe there is no problem with that on your own private berm. But I don’t know if they will have any kind of table set up for you with your own berm. You might need to supply it yourself? So for around 40.00 a person we could have our own berm with the RSO unless one of us coming is certified then its not needed.

Too far a drive for me. I have around 31 cans I could bring but just too far. You are more than welcome to come to our 5th annual 9/11 Shoot though. We have a ton of manufactures coming and donating to the raffle. We plan on doing at least 1 solid hour of suppressed shooting only. In any case I hope you all have a suppressed blast ![]()
Where is this at? Address if you have it? I might be interesed if it is not too far.
Too Far?
My drive to your place is 3hrs and 35mins.
From your area to OSS is 2hrs 45mins.
I might be able to come down to Dade City to your 9/11 Memorial Shoot because that’s how my rusted out Malibu and I roll.

.
I’ll be there unless I’m on call that weekend, should know about a month in advance. I’m really looking forward to it. I have a Saker K, Saker 762, 2 Surefire RCs, 2 Surefire Minis, 2 Osprey 9s, 1 Osprey 45s, 1 Surefire Ryder 22a and a SiCo Spectre ii.
If you’re interested in hearing anything listed above let me know, because I’m definitely not bring all 11 cans, but I will bring 3-5.
If you would bring that Saker 762. I might end up with one eventually.
Do we have any more people coming? Still hope for us to enjoy a private section of the range just for us.
At last count we had 15 potentials but I would count on a 50% dropout rate so that would give us somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-8 that will show up.
Looking forward to seeing what you guys are bringing with you.
That sounds about right. We had 300 RSVP’d to the 9/11 shoot and only 160 people came out. Some stayed in because the forecast said rain… it never rained lol! Plus, my guns happen to work in the rain. ![]()
I finally got my 300 blackout suppressor mounts installed so we will have 300 blackout through a SDN6 for people to here how quite it is!!
I will bring a Knights NT4, Surefire RC 5.56, AAC SDN6, AAC TI-RANT .45, and a Octane .45 HD.
Very nice collection…
I will be bringing a Surefire SOCOM556-RC mounted on a Colt M4-6920, a Silencerco Specwar762 mounted on a AAC300 Blackout 9" upper and a Beretta 92A1 silenced by AAC Evolution suppressor.

Nice! Looks like we will have some good stuff to check out. I will have a Glock 21 with AAC TI-RANT .45, Springfield Operator MC with Silencerco Octane 45 HD, Colt MK18 MOD 0 with Knights NT4, LWRC M6A3 12.7 with Surefire Socom RC 5.56, and either a custom LMT MK18 MOD 1 300 blackout or a KAC 11.5 300 blackout with an AAC SDN6.
I would like to remind people who are bringing ammo to shoot through other peoples class 3 stuff to buy good quality ammo. Last thing you want to do is have a baffle strike or worse from a low quality ammo and have a class 3 item that is not any good anymore. And I wont run Wolf or Tula or anything like that through any of my AR’s or pistols anyways. I don’t mind running that stuff through my AK but nothing else. And only Factory ammo no reloads.
Definitely. Sub sonic is the best for suppressors. Almost any standard .45 will be sub sonic, 9 mm you will need to check the fps, and 300 blackout will say subsonic. No need to look for 308 or 5.56 subs because they don’t cycle the weapon so they really aren’t available but through reloads.
Good point!
And if you really want the full effect of a suppressor it would be best to bring sub sonic ammo for 300 blackout or 9 mm.
Sent from my iPhone 6 plus and posted via Tapatalk.
This sounds very interesting…
I will most definately try to make it.
I can bring my specwar 762 and the following weapons to shoot it on…
16" 5.56 ar, 16" 300blackout ar, 18" 300blackout Remington 700 sps, 20" .223 Savage Axis, 8.25" 300blackout sbr, 20" 6.5 Grendel ar.
I can bring several hundred rounds of super for all calibers and seversl hundred rounds of subsonic for the 300blackout.
I also have 2 Omegas currently in jail, but maybe, one, or both will be cleared by then. I’m at 91 days right now.
Only two more weeks till the suppressor shoot at Okeechobee Shooting Sports.
As a reminder anyone interested in shooting suppressed is asked to bring your own quality ammo if you plan on shooting someone else’s firearm.
If you’re only coming to observe you are more than welcome to do so but please keep in mind that if you decide you would like to shoot someones firearm
please let them be the one to offer if you have not brought any of your own ammo.
Types of ammo that I encourage you to bring is factory loads from brands such as Remington, Federal, Black Hills, Blazer or Fiocchi.
If you’re looking for the quietest loads then remember to bring subsonic ammo, for 300 Blackout that would be 220gr and for 9mm that would be 147gr.
Sorry but 5.56 in subsonic is extremely hard to find and in most cases it will not cycle properly.
Please do not bring any steel cased ammo.
If you would like to shoot my suppressor on your weapon you’ll need to have a Surefire brake/flash-hider designed for 5.56
or a Silencerco brake/flash-hider in 7.62 caliber.
I hope the interest in this gathering is good enough to bring us together at OSS and maybe we’ll have another in the early Spring that can include “Unique Weapons”.
ETA:Anyone that brings a Surefire Warden will have my unwavering gratitude.
Looking forward to it. I might have a few people coming with me. I will try to bring a friend of the owner who is an instructor so we will not need to pay to have a range safer officer with is if we get our own bay. I can’t promise it but I will try.
I have a buddy coming with me bringing rounds he is going to reload so we have a few for people to shoot. I only trust his reloads through my suppressors and rifles. I don’t recommend people to use reloads in a suppressor unless you know what you are doing and its being loaded by yourself.
So anyway I will have some extra rounds for people to shoot through my stuff encase you are coming and cant afford to get some rounds.
And Okeechobee Shooting Sports does sell ammo if you don’t get a chance to pick some up. Normal calibers though as I don’t ever remember seeing 300 blackout.
ETA:Anyone that brings a Surefire Warden will have my unwavering gratitude.
I will have mine
Fantastic! I would love to see one up close before committing to buying one.
