Flat top Tavor anyone?

Well its finally here and will be ready to ship in days. Ignore the cheap BUIS its the throwaway set we use for dev.

Specs:

-7075-T6 Aluminum
-Picatinny rail
-Type 3 Black Hard Anodized surface coating.

Canada?

Yep. Supply world wide though.

How’s the mag release on the Tavor? Never touched a Tavor myself, but that mag release in front of the magazine seems like a perfect place for a bullpup.

Also that “block” looking thing behind the mag sticking out the receiver, that’s the bolt release right?

If they imported em here, I’d buy one ricky tick…

Standard AR thinking does not apply with the Tavor when it comes to mag changes. Though they are still quick, faster then the AK IMHO.

Yep its the bolt release.

Man if they ain’t a cock tease!

I like the flat top, good to see they accept the standard PMAG and not the EMAG only.

Correct. The Tavor has really caught my eye…one of the only recently released rifles to do so. I can’t wait to own one…lots of fun to shoot.

Where are the specs posted?

Looks great, I want one for each hand

Sean you didnt tell me about this you dirty bird!

Gotta rub salt in the wound, eh? You Cannucks think thats funny, eh?

Its just not fair… :frowning:

Least we can have high caps.

That said, I’d love a Tavor.

same here, moreso than the SCAR or ACR (no offense) although since the release of the E-4 MSAR I might just pick that up. I always wanted a bullpup.

And to think Charles Daly was planning on selling Tavors in the the USA.

I’d pony up for this version, with MARS optic.

The Tavor and FAMAS are the only bullpups that really interest me

Ha ha …

[shamwow]you know the Israeli’s make good stuff[/shamwow]

The Tavor obviously has a few issues like all rifles. Namely support hand shooting and you get a puff of gas in the face depending on the wind. Otherwise the Tavor is an incredibly well designed rifle. This specific one has about 30k rounds through it with zero parts failures and no stoppages that I can attribute to the gun (only FTEs from my face impeding ejection during support hand shooting).

Balance is awesome, titanium receiver, almost nil muzzle rise, points super fast, dependable… Its everything the G36 should have been but isn’t :D.

Rauch, if you can provide them, I would love to see pictures of the entire bolt assembley and how it works.

So far I know that it appears to have a 4 lug bolt, and a fixed cam pin with the groove to rotate the bolt machined out of the bolt body. But I’ve never seen clear pictures. Also, does it use a fixed or spring loaded ejector?

I was thinking about picking up a Tavor. Already have the MARS on my FS2000…These are pretty cheap too. Either this or Hk mr556.

Looks good.
