I have a Stag Arms model 2 AR-15 with a flat top and flip up rear sight. I would like to put a scope mount and scope on it that would still allow me to use the rear and front sights. Can anyone point me where to look?
I would look at ADM and LT.
Remember that you will have to remove the optic in order to use the irons. The two companies listed above will repeat zero after you have taken them off.

im leaning towards a scope for my soon to be rifle as well, but for side irons, im thinking on getting some YHM angle mounts or something along those line and having my BUIS at the 1 o’clock position instead of directly on top. i know there are a few different ways of doing this and im going to need to research more when I actually get around to ordering my rifle, lol. Just an idea for ya.
Im fond of the ADM Recon mount for the magnified optics.Excellent quality and durability IMHO.ADM’s customer service is exceptional as well.
For an alternate sight I was considering a micro RDS on a DD 1 o’clock offset rail.Have not seen much in reference to a setup like that but it looks functional and interesting enough to consider for my SPR.
I would include Bobro in the list of mounts to consider. Really some top of the line gear.
LMT makes a 1.93" high mount that’s high enough to get the cross hair over the FSP and clear a folding rear.
It is a high mount though, you may find it difficult to get a nice cheek weld.
Thanks for the quick replies. I can at least start looking now. I’ve seen pictuers of AR’s with the rear sight still mounted with the scope/red dot in place. Are these set up with the center of the red dot in line with the iron sights?
This is called co-witnessing. Using a none magnified optic, you can still use your irons though the optic. This is not the case with a magnified optic.
