Flat Bottomed Free Float Forearms?

I’m considering a pair of flat bottomed handguards for my precision AR, and I’m compiling a list to compare and contrast.

This is what I’ve drummed up so far. Am I missing any others?

1. Badger Ordnance Stabilizer Handguards

No longer being made, but on rare occasions they pop up on the user market.

2. PRI Delta Carbon Fiber Handguards

The most expensive of the three, and the rail hight up top doesn’t match the rails on the upper, which is kind of a nonstarter unless you’re okay with a gas block sight. Right now, I’ve got a low-profile one, so that would include another step in things.

3. Diamonhead VRS-T Handguard

Very different looking, but they all are. Uses a different type of barrel nut setup from what I’ve been able to uncover.

For those of you who are using any of these, what are your thoughts and impressions?

Believe Seekins makes a 3Gun type handguard that has a flat bottom.

Yup.

Wasn’t even aware of the Seekins handguard! Thanks, fellas.

LEO friend of mine had 2 AR’s built, a 5.56 and a 6.8. He used the Seekins SP3R rails. He hunts from fixed positions/blinds and he said the flat bottom makes for a very stable platform.
