Hey gents, looking for some help… Does anyone no who makes a 4 inch flash hider? Looking to affix it to a LMT MRP 12 inch piston upper.

you would need one thats atleast 4.5", not 4". remember, there is a little overlap with the threading.
So you’re trying to make a 12" LMT piston upper into a non-NFA upper by permanently attaching a long muzzle device?
Given the relative ease of swapping barrels on the MRP, I’d say you’d be about 1000 times better off finding a 16" piston barrel instead and swapping them out.
If you add a muzzle device that lengthens it out, you’ve basically got the 16" barrel, but with no benefits of additional velocity or anything. Plus you’ve got to be careful that the muzzle device doesn’t have any kind of additional diameter that causes interference with the removal of the piston system for maintenance.
Very good points made, and one I had not thought of. I never thought about the piston removal issue. I just got a sweet deal on the 12 inch at $1000.00. This was for a brand new unfired upper. I figured it was cheeper to add the long flash hider than spend the $600.00 on a 16 inch barrel piston kit. Hey thanks guy for the oppinions…
