So I’m finishing up my gathering of parts for the recce build, and I’m down to muzzle devices
I currently run a griffin armament flashcomp on my carbine and like it a lot. I’m on the fence about buying another or trying something new. I’ve been recommended the OSS BANNER comp and the Proctor flash comp. any thoughts on those two and how they compare to the griffin?
Or something else totally cool I don’t know about?
Yep, the TTAG muzzle device test charts and graphs should help you make your decision. I believe Jeremy is planning another test with more comps, brakes and flash hiders.
I haven’t read or heard much about the Proctor muzzle device. But TTAG did test the Griffin flash comp and a few other hybrid muzzle devices. It really depends on what is more important to you, flash suppression or recoil control.
My last range session a few weeks ago, I installed a VG6 Gamma 556 brake on my 16" carbine. I was blown away at the difference it made in muzzle rise and felt recoil. Best $80 Ive spent in a long time.
