Hey guys I’ve been looking around at the different types of fixed front sights, to put on my Flat top DDV5. I want fixed to lower 1/3 my red dot (mircow/ laure mount). With all the different kinds out there is there a best bang for the buck? Thinking of running the DD front and rear if I can find them in stock. Any body run these? What do you run for the rear?
I run the DD front. It’s a good sight.
I also like the DD fixed front sights.
I m with mark, the dd front is the cream I have two and would not change either one of them.
I prefer the DD as well.
Most of you guys said you run the front, do you run the DD for the rear as well?
Depends on the rifle (or rather, depends on what optic I have on a rifle). For fixed rears, yes, I like the DD A1.5
LMT rear and DD front.
I really like this combination for fixed sights
I wanted to run the DD fixed sight set but I couldn’t find any in-stock by the time my M4V5 came in. Instead I picked up some Troy fixed sights and I’ve been happy with their performance and quality of finish.
Also for the sake of looks it is a little bit difference from the rest of the crowd using MBUS, flip-up Troys, and fixed DD’s.
Mine has a carry handle. So I didn’t need a fixed rear. I wouldn’t hesitate to run the DD rear however.
That’s pretty sweet…Carry handle style sight but on a flat top!
Sounds like a Win!
It is. LMT’s front is also very good, but because of LMT’s attachment method I prefer the DD front.
If I didn’t get the LMT front for cheap, I would have a DD on my rifle.
I have DD fixed on the front and Troy flip-up on the back for use with a scope. if I was looking for a fixed rear I would definately give the DD fixed a try.

I prefer the Troy, but these are both Tier One and its really just “six of one or half a dozen of another”.
I am also a fan of the DD. I have heard the Centurion Diopter fixed sights are supposed to be nice, but I have not used them personally so I can’t say.
Using the dd on the front…mbus on the rear… vortex strikefire for the optic… great set up
Sent from my Galaxy S3
That’s the same for me. I have an LMT MRP that came with LMT front and rear sights and those have been replaced by DD fixed front and rear sights.
The nut on the LMT front interfered with my support hand grip, where my thumb runs along the rail next to where the front sight is and also hinders the manipulation of my X300 mounted at 12 o’clock. I’ve seen where some users modified their LMT front sight to a smaller nut, but I just figured doing with the DD was easier.
The Daniel Defense fixed sights are my favorite.
I’ve run the front and rear with a Micro in a LT660.
Excellent setup.
