Went out in the rain today and put a few hundred rounds of PMC down the pipe, not a single issue. This rifle is AWESOME. I love it! Best money Ive spent on a long time. Recoil is VERY mild (I think the action moving around is more than the rounds recoil) trigger is super crisp and the sights are nice and the ergonomics are killer and super natural/pointable. The ejection path is about 4’ back @ 5 o clock. You could literally have a 5 gallon bucket set up to catch all the brass, it puts it in that nice of a pile, really. I used Tetra gun grease on the inner receiver rails and moving parts and after todays little shoot, all the grease is still white on the bolt, carrier and rails! It is a super clean running system. This along with my HK45 are on my “list” of guns Ill never sell. My Son will end up with this rifle…

What would you say was the weight on this gun?
Does that PMAG drop free just as easily as the USGI alum mags do? I’ve never encountered a SCAR which would drop the PMAGS freely…
I does sometimes. The FDE pmag I have is the “new” one and the old style balck pmag I have drops free just fine. I think theres plenty of room but there a lot more friction between the two plastics than there is with the metal mags. I would alos think the rifle in this trim (I took my EOTech off it, I like the open iron sights!) weighs around 8 ponuds loaded…
Nice rig man, that rifle is a thing of beauty. I agree with you on using the irons. They’re nice and “open” so to speak, I bet they make for excellent target aquisition. How’s the ergonomics on the pistol grip? It’s basically an A2 style grip, right?

Thought about it, but just couldn’t figure out what you meant.
The charging handle is on the left, it can be changed to be on the right, but comes on the left at least mine did. I’m with you 99HMC4 the more I shoot mine the more I love it. My only issue and if your shooting with just the irons is a non issue, is with an optic (Eotech XPS), running your hand (finger) into the optic doing clearing drills and such. If your thinking and not under stress and don’t go deep so to speak on the charging handle no problem but under stress easy to hit. I know I could raise the optic but I like my irons co-witnessed and maybe with another optic a non issue but I prefer Eotech’s.

I run my CH on the right.
That puts the CH on the same side as my shotgun and 308 semi-auto, so I prefer it there for KISS. Keeps the CH from hanging up when I have it dropped to the sling. It also clears up the CH vs optic mount issue for me. I can understand why some folks prefer it to stay on the left.
The trigger is ok in my opinion. I’d say it’s fine for a fighting carbine, but could use some improvement or aftermarket support. The SCAR is very accurate and would benefit from a little better trigger.
