ive owned ARs in various forms since 1993 so i figured it was about time to build one of my own exactly how i wanted it. comments and suggestions are welcome. hope you like it.

added a new T15BDX billet lower from Tactical Innovations. figured i would post some shots. i love the edgy look of these lowers and with the Upper Receiver Tensioning Screw the upper and lower mate perfectly. comments welcome.
i actually love the stock. i was a little unsure how it would be when i first picked it up. my other ar’s have magpul CTRs on them which i love but after using the vltor i was hooked. im not a fan of the rubber buttplate on the emod or sopmod, and i dont believe the sopmod has a quick detach sling swivel attachment?? but the cheek weld on any of the mod stocks is something i dont think i could do without from now on.
yeah i really like the look of the standard FSB stickin through the rail but the more abuse i put my guns through the more i realize the benefit of a plain old pinned FSB

no sad faces needed- sucks to have to jump through the Man’s hoops, but there’s nothing wrong with perming. I do it often… i currently own two permed weapons.
thanks. i like the feel of it allot actually. from the looks of it it seems that it would have all kinds of sharp edges but the machining is so clean the edges almost feel soft haha. the only criticism i could offer would be to thin the trigger guard just a tiny bit where it meets the grip. not much, but just a little bit to make it more comfortable. thats about the only thing i would change.
A little suggestion though, for better balance, you might want to try your VFG more forward near the FSB, to have better control and pull the gun tighter into the shoulder, especially for shooting on the move or engaging multiple targets. It helps me a lot to drive the gun better from target to target and stabilizes the Dot better for more accurate shot placement on single targets. Also, adjust the light forward of the VFG, so you can engage the switch, with your thumb, without changing your grip on the VFG.
thanks for the suggestions. ive been running guns like this for quite some time and what works for you may not be what works for me. ive used the fore grip in just about every possible location and for me centered 6 notches up on the lower rail is perfect for my short little arms:D. also after a million light mounts and positions i settled on this one because the switch is in the perfect position for my thumb. i dont know about most people but i cant stand holding the VFG with a pistol style grip the gun feels all sloppy. so i hold it with only my bottom 2 fingers with the others gripping the rail and my thumb running up next to the light switch along the left side of the rail. like i said though to each his own with some thing theres not one “right way” thanks for the comments.
I understand what your saying and I might add, and assure you, that this isn’t my first experience with the platform either ;). I feel you got a little stung and offended by what I posted. I didn’t say it was a right way. Merely a suggestion. I never stated in my post that anything I said was to be interpreted as “the way”. I too, only use the VFG as hand reference or placement aid, gripping the rail more than the actual grip itself, as most folks on this forum do, instead of in the typical broom stick fashion. From your current light position from your VFG in some of the pics, it appeared to me that you couldn’t activate the light, without removing your entire hand from in front of your VFG, unless you have a very long thumb. That’s why I bought it up as a “suggestion”. Now that I looked again, there is one pic that displays your light position in a more practical position, and therefore, recant my suggestion. FWIW, no one here follows the “The Way” school of thought on anything, but rather “A Way”. We are very open minded to “What works for you”, but we are an extremely practical bunch, and what works, does in fact, work. Whether you want to use the info or not, that is up to you. Be well.
