First AR

This is my first attempt at putting together an AR. It is fairly heavy, but it handles and balances well. The pictures are not good, but this was on my bed with a point and shoot in sub-optimal lighting, taking photos like it’s a dirty high school girlfriend.

Base gun is a Colt 6940

Magpul ACS
Magpul AFG
Magpul MIAD
Magpul ASAP
Magpul PMAG(s)
Magpul BAD
Magpul Trigger guard

KNS GEN 2 Anti-walk pins
Fail-Zero BCG
Geissele Match trigger
PWS FSC556 compensator

EOTech XPS3-2
Surefire 300A
Surefire rail mounted pressure/constant on switch
ErgoGrip rail covers

Loud as hell, but it has almost zero recoil.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to use a Larue LT-110, as there are none around for me to try.

Any opinions on my mount questions as well as comments or suggestions regarding the rifle would be appreciated.

Correction, “like it’s a dirty (18 year old) high school girlfriend.” You can never be too careful.
Ahh the memories!

Nice rifle man. Just getting started on my own.

LMAO!!!:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

How much would you be willing to part with that Colt BCG for?

I’m keeping the Colt BCG, though I’m thinking about trading out the MaTech for either a DD A1.5 or a Troy Battle Sight. Does anyone have any experience with the DD they’d like to share?

And I live in Georgia, where the age to tango is 16. We can light fires and kick tires real young like down here, wooooeeeee!!!

It’s hard to go wrong with Troys for battle sights. DD makes very fine stuff also, but never tried out one of their sights. Oh, Nice stick!

Mook I have seen Colt BCG’s going for anywhere from 185-220 depending on the dealer or vendor. Haven’t seen very many lately, since most Colt parts tend to remain in the hands of the original purchaser.
