First AR Build

I have built several AK’s converted a few Saigas and even built a FAL but this was my first try at an AR-15.
No completed uppers and lowers for me, I built this puppy from the ground up. For me the fun part is finding all of the parts and assembling it yourself.
Besides that way you know where everything goes and have a better understanding of the rifle and it’s inner-workings.

So far all went smoothly and I hope to go shooting here in the next week or two once the balance of my parts come in.

Enough yapping, here’s the picts…

KNS Anti-Rotation Pins - Maybe need to read more on this before I do it.

Thanks for all of the helpful information found here. I think it came out ok for a first project. We’ll see how she runs…

Looks good so far. I don’t think you really need the KNS anti-rotation pins though.

I think I have come to the same conclusion on the Pins - they may be a little unnecessary.

I got it a little more together and had to take a few more picts:

I plan on going to the range this weekend. report to follow…

Nice looking boomstick. I like the lower—very “solid” looking. Kinda transformersy…new word I just invented I guess  Sure it shoots as good as it looks.

Very nice custom. How does the Bill Springfield trigger feel?

Wow very cool looking!

Thanks…

The trigger is very smooth. All of the creep/slop is gone. the trigger pull is almost effortless (4lb or less).

Thanks. I was hoping to hear that. I have a few triggers I was thinking of sending his way.

How much did the final product wind-up weighing? Obviously it wasn’t a worry for you, I’m just curious. Looks to be a heavy build.
