Has anyone used any of the Stag Arms stripped lowers for a build yet? I picked one up the other month at the gun show here in Ocala for $125.00. Seemed like a good deal. Just placed an order to Stag for the lower part’s kit, 6 pos. stock and a couple of 30 round mags. Hoping i picked a good company to deal with. Would like to use one of there uppers when the money say’s i can finish the build. I figured i will save only about $200.00 over having bought a ready to fire from them.
Stag stripped lowers are fine (as are most lowers). I built an AR using a Stag lower a few months back using a BCM upper and stock.
$125 is an OK price, a few months back I was them at a gun show selling for $99.
Well I got a box dropped off today from Stag Arms. You would not believe how small a box they used to ship my junk. LOL Got my lower parts kit, 6Pos. stock and 2 30round mags. Now the sad part is shipping cost anymore. $20.00 shipping for a box that weighed (according to UPS) 1 pound.
Now i just have to save for the upper.
Amazing how small a box hundreds of dollars worth of stuff fits into. It’s no better at the grocery store! When I buy gun parts, I try to look at the tiny box like a bride might look at those little boxes that jewelry comes in.

Well i do know what is meant about the small boxes. Here is what i have come up with so far. After spending 15mins. on-line and printing the build instructions. Another 20mins. with just a screw driver, small hammer, pair of robo grip pliers (all well taped over to prevent marring).
next.
And the final results…so far. Now to save for the upper half…
Looks like you are off to a great start! I saw a real good amount of barrelled uppers at the Orlando show a couple weeks back, they always seem to have better deals there than the Ocala shows. Next show is October 3-4…start saving and I’ll see you there!
