That is amazing in the correct context of the word.
And sadly the media regularly celebrates lesser people who have made far less significant accomplishments.
The average person who can return their life to their previous sense of normalcy after something like being a combat wounded amputee is impressive enough. To accomplish something your typical person couldn’t do is…well…amazing.
Good timing. I just received a new patient in my office, a fine young man, suffered a non combat related traumatic amputation, this story is amazing and inspirational and I’ll share it with him.
This is the kind of story that should headlining the news.
Good stuff. I’m AASLT qualified too. Would certainly not want to go through it with only one leg intact. Every PSG in the 101st should keep a copy of this story in his CP and make soldiers read it when they come back to the unit after failing AASLT school.
