First Amputee graduates Air Assault School

Some GOOD news for the day. As a past graduate, it blows my mind to think of trying to do this as an amputee. Why is THIS not on the front page of the paper…

AIR ASSAULT!

That is truly leading by example!

Outstanding.

Thanks, for sharing. Great news to read about this.

That is amazing in the correct context of the word.

And sadly the media regularly celebrates lesser people who have made far less significant accomplishments.

The average person who can return their life to their previous sense of normalcy after something like being a combat wounded amputee is impressive enough. To accomplish something your typical person couldn’t do is…well…amazing.

Badass!

What a fine warrior, and truly an example to follow.

Thanks for lettings us know about this. My daughter is a Soldier, and I really enjoy sending her stories like this.

Good timing. I just received a new patient in my office, a fine young man, suffered a non combat related traumatic amputation, this story is amazing and inspirational and I’ll share it with him.

This is the kind of story that should headlining the news.

Well done.

Good stuff. I’m AASLT qualified too. Would certainly not want to go through it with only one leg intact. Every PSG in the 101st should keep a copy of this story in his CP and make soldiers read it when they come back to the unit after failing AASLT school.

Air Assault!

The media’s focused on rump rangers coming out in the locker room…

Amen.

Agreed. Sickening. Not that he is gay but the attention that he is receiving.

Obama should be calling this man on the phone offering congratulations and putting him on 60 minutes.

Motivating.

I was complaining about my knee hurting after a run this morning. Not after seeing this. Motivating indeed.

Another example of most of the limits we face we set ourselves. Just glad he’s on our side.
