It seems we need a deals thread. I know a lot of guys come across great firearms deals that they like to share with the rest of us, and the other thread isn’t really designed for that. I know there are other websites that do the same, but they post crap whereas we as a collective have a more “distinguished” pallet.
It seems that the original “where can I find it thread” doesn’t apply like it did post Sandy Hook. As black Friday approaches and prices in general drop, let’s post deals when we find them.
However, mods have, many times, very clearly, posted that the thread is not to be used to randomly post deals that you come across. It can be difficult when you know of very well priced .22lr, sub $300/1k Federal 5.56, $9 PMAGs, etc, and want to share with the other members of the board because you know somebody will be interested…but that’s just not how the board works. It is a fine line, potentially slippery slope, we wouldn’t want it to become a spamfest for people trying to pimp products or retailers after all.
It’s evident that there are many members that want one based on the posts on the other thread that get deleted, as you pointed out. Not sure why we would object to a thread such as this.
