Finally Complete. Pics of my Super Clean Build.

It started as a Bushmaster Modular Carbine and I added the following:

  1. 3x ACOG with amber chevron and BDC
  2. Larue mini ACOG mount
  3. Troy 10" handguard
  4. Troy lo-pro gas block
  5. Vltor stock
  6. Magpul MIAD grip
  7. Magpul forend grip
  8. Magpul rail covers
  9. Rock River NM trigger
  10. Vltor single point sling adaptor
  11. Badger tactical charging handle latch

I went for a really simple and clean look and I think it turned out great. I’m pumped.

very clean/smooth indeed! I like it! However, are my eyes bad or is your ACOG mounted higher than usual? To me it seems really high in the pics compared to the buttstock. either way, nice blaster!

Looks good but the scope does seem a little high, hows the weight?

The scope is a bit high, but that’s just how it’s made. The Larue mount was the smallest that I could find. It is a TON better than the clunky looking mount that Trijicon supplied with it. Even though it’s tall, it’s at a perfect height for me and I still get a great weld on the stock.

As far as the weight, I don’t know what it’s exact weight is but it feels just fine to me. I don’t shoot this rifle too often and I don’t shoot competitively with it either so that wasn’t a main concern for me. I was going for practicality, quality, and looks.

Did you get everything staked properly?

No I haven’t. I’ve heard of that a few times before but I’ve never read into what it actually improves vs. factory-specs. Can you tell me?

I’m at the airport with a limited amount of time so we’ll start with Rob’s M4 Chart: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pwswheghNQsEuEhjFwPrgTA#gid=2 Make sure to read all of it and each individual tab, you’ll learn lots. I hope this helps and if you have further questions after reading I’d be glad to help.

Staking is so your shit doesn’t come loose

I read all of that, VERY interesting information. Unfortunately I don’t have everything staked properly but when I get the time I think I’m going to do it myself. Thanks for clearing all of that up for me!

You’re welcome. You should fill out where you’re from under USER CP and there may be people in your area who have the proper tools and expertise to help you. Best of luck.
