Yeah, I’ll be unsubscribing from the Firearms blog. In my mind, a blogger (especially one whose blog has MODERATED comments) is responsible for the quality of the comments he allows on his page. If a blogger allows disinformation to be perpetuated, then his blog isn’t worth jack.
I’ve seen the blogger who runs the firearm blog report unsubstantiated posts from internet forums as facts.
I’ve sometimes felt that I was fighting a one man battle against Internet ignorance. In many cases I removed myself from those forums.
I was waging a similar battle on a Facebook group related to firearms. Someone posted a picture of a Remington ACR from Shot Show, and nearly half the comments were people calling it a SCAR, and the other half calling it a Bushmaster. The rifle in question also had a set of Daniel Defense back irons along with an Aimpoint CompM4, and there were several idiots laughing about how the sights were blocking the “scope” :rolleyes:
Ignorance seems to spread so much faster than truth and fact.
And it’s even harder to dispel!
