The only thing I can add to that is that I do recall reading a review on LittleLebowskis blog about a carbine class he took with Mr. Defoor and the 100 yd zero. I always thought that ARs were zeroed at 25m, but like the above article says, that was really intended for 20" service rifles using M855 ball. Now I know.
