I understand what the purpose of these types are but Looking at a krink/Kuuma/kx5 device and comparing it to just a directional device like the kak or claymore, is there a functional difference in terms of use? Do the muzzle devices with the cone insert that traps gas pressure perform better than the ones without that just direct it all forward? Or I suppose, what am I loosing by using one without the cone.
