Long story short-ish…
I posted an ad for my last AAC DTM coupon. Prior to doing so, I called the rebate company that’s handling it because I hadn’t received a hard copy yet. The girl gave me the gift code number and I proceeded to list it. It turns out that the code was to my previous code that I used back in November. I called in June :/. I never thought that they would have given me a 7+ month old used code…definitely my fault for not double checking. He purchased my code on this EE and attempted to use it. After being denied and looking into it, he found that it was the previously used code.
In the meantime, I hadn’t logged onto M4C or did so through my iPad. It either didn’t show or I missed the notification. After first starting out very polite and cordial, he proceeded to become worried and then irate…100% justified. After a week or two, I noticed the notification tab lit on my desktop and messaged him. We then went through sorting out my mess. Turns out my GC paperwork was lost in the system. Hickuleas graciously agreed to wait for the new code. I kept him updated the entire time with pictures and emails of the GC process.
He and I are happy with the resolution of my mess. I shouldn’t have posted my ad without checking the date of my code…but I never thought that they’d give me a code from November that I used then.
You guys can check with him the veracity of what happened and the steps we took to correct it. He says he’s PM’ed several Moderators and/or SS with no results, so we’re reduced to posting here.
