sitting around the house with the flu, figured i’d throw some different FDEs together. i’m a poor photographer using probably poor equipment and lighting, so the stark contrasts between all these doesn’t show up like it does as they all lay sitting on my floor. but, clearly, everybody shits a different color FDE.

the biggest contrasts are between DD and everyone else, obviously… aside from that, LMT’s “tan” is darker than everyone else, tango and magpul are within a shade or two, and bravo’s “coyote” competes with krylon’s “khaki” for lightest.
As the person who shot that image, I can say its a combination of the lighting and the color. That rail is a different tone, and is much warmer than the RIS II rails that I have. The RIS II early series are much darker and have a colder appearance.
well its a helluva lot lighter and warmer than the two i have. i’d rather have the lighter tone, too- why are mine so damn dark? especially the lite- it’s even darker than the omega, for some reason
