Just what is an “FBI uniformed police officer”? I thought they were all “agents”. Is it like the Secret Service uniformed division?

No it’s not a stepping stone to agent. Yes we are like Secret Service uniformed division. We are at four facilities, NY field office, HQ in DC, the Academy in Virginia and CJIS in W. Va.

Not a big concern as we are very public, are in major cities with name tags prominently displayed and I’m not jack bower or involved in any sort of covert operations. We do our fair share of events representing the bureau including super bowls, national conventions, joint military operations and the occasional natural disaster like Katrina and Super storm Sandy. Basically impossible to avoid media when we have high profile perp walks as part of the dog and pony show in Manhattan as well. Thanks anyway though.
If they are “uniformed” I’m pretty sure lots of people know. No different from all the other LEOs that acknowledge their occupation on this forum.
