This! And the fact that our government is just as guilty about this very same thing in probably every instance we make a deal to advance our agenda. Their mistake was to leave out the White House cut. If they had contributed big bucks to Obama 2012 they could have done the bribes and signed the deal in Lincoln’s bedroom or the Hillary FBI File library room.

I was an international business major and graduated college as such. Bribery shouldn’t be looked at as a bad thing, it just the way things are. OCONUS, paying an official or company rep to pick your product over that of a competitor is just part of the cost of doing business. My professor’s advice was don’t talk about it, don’t keep records, and don’t mention any of this to the business ethics professor.
I’ve never understood the differences between consulting fees and bribes. Bill Clinton and other former gov people make millions for what? Their insights into the system? How is having Corzine or Daley the lesser brother on your payroll or as a ‘consultant’ any different than having somebody’s brother/cousin do some market research or community outreach in some emerging market. On what planet is Bill Daley qualified for any job he’s had?
All that and the FBI made this all up. It is quantum justice- the sting created a crime out of nothing and nothing came out of it. In physics that is a wash, but here the FBI tore apart peoples lives and they are far from being back at their original state.
