Favorite DMR

What is your favorite factory built, precision AR-10? 16-18" barrel, DI. Up to $5000 budget for just the rifle. Thanks.

If you can spend up to 5k and value precision I would he looking at JP and GAP.

Kac and LMT are good options too in the correct configuration, but if I wanted a precision rig it would be between JP and GAP

Are you wanting .308 or 6.5 creedmore

.308. Thanks.

I got to look at the Barrett Rec10. It’s seems really well made, there coming out with a precision version soon should be interesting

DMR=Combat Capable=KAC or LMT

Thanks guys. Based on all the great info provided and some more research, I abandoned the 18" models and narrowed the options to the following:

KAC SR-25 E2 PC M-LOK
LMT L129A1 Reference Rifle
Noveske 16" Gen III N6 Heavy Recon Rifle
Barrett REC10

Let us know what you find. Then do some extensive testing to help me in my future purchasing decision [emoji106]

KAC then LMT

Jared Reston has been putting up some stupid groups with his rec10 at 100 yds with just a 1-6, like .5moa groups with 168grain FGMM.

KAC first and foremost, the LMT

That’s out then…

My personal favorite as pure DMR is the SCAR 20. I like my LMT but more from an overall jack of all trades stand point and I think the 20 is more of a DMR because it is a fat pig!

One of the 5 rd groups with the scar from 100. It does this pretty much every group. I never had it group over 3/4" I like the recoil impulse on the SCAR a lot! It is simply smooth and fast on target.

LMT or a high end Aero. Since you have $5k. :joy:

$5k will get you a MWS and a NF ATACR…

At that price, knights is the only answer

Delete.

With $5k, you could buy an LMT, Nightforce scope and bipod if you shopped smart.

HK MR762. A little heavier but mine shoots everything well and is very reliable.

KAC, the price always keeps a lot of folks locked out of this platform. When you consider the cost in chasing other lesser platforms they all end up costing the price of one KAC.
