Father-in-Law of the Year?

A guy I work security with is in need of some gear (as he just got his CCW and is also going to the Police academy). He doesn’t have a lot of money, but wants to get a reliable weapon.

So he comes into our Store with his father-in-law. He picks out a S&W M&P full size. Since he will be carrying it, I recommend that he get some carry ammo and got him some of the Winchester Ranger 147gr.

While he was off looking at something in the store, his father-in-law comes up to me and slips me his CC to pay for everything! The guy is just floored by his generiosity.

Fast forward about 2 weeks. I get a letter in the mail from the father-in-law requesting that I get his son-in-law a nice SureFire Flashlight and to charge his CC for it.

Pretty cool Father-in-Law huh!

Throw some shit on that CC for me!!

Cool… but he should have bought him a Glock .:p;)

Hey Grant, order me 1 LMT MRP and put it on his c.c. please !!! lol You can say it was for his " other " son in law.

s.m.

My girlfriends father wont even have a beer with me, and scoffs at anything to do with the 2A.

He is probably turned off by your avatar.

Wanna trade father-in-laws with this guy???

You should remind him that you’re servicing his daughter next time he brings up the 2A.

That might be taken the wrong way if put in those terms. I hope you meant to say “protecting.”

Anyway, that sounds like an upstanding guy that you don’t hear about too often.

OH yeah, that’s what I meant.

Sounds like one hell of a guy.

Where does he plan on attending the academy?

One of the local ones around me.

Very cool. I’ve got a good set of in-laws. They have their issues like anyone else but they share a common mindset on the things that matter most.

You should count your blessings!!

Very cool. My soon to be father in law offered to buy my ak and ar from me :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like my father-inlaw. It is nice but sometimes he doesn’t let me pay, exactly how you said slips them the card first or before I even know and I feel guilty. He is pro 2a and we go shooting together alot. It is definitely better than having one that hates you.

Was that part of a deal that he was offering you?

Sounds like a stand up guy. My dad and I go round and round picking up the check when we go out…it’s been entertaining us for years. Hey, maybe I should take him on a road trip to Grant’s place with me.

I have a great father in-law.

He is a quiet man with little to say; he visited just once when my daughter was born, and the rest of the time, he lives on the other side of the planet.

Generosity is great, but distance is even better.

i was adopted once so i broke the ice with that, whats getting adopted a 2nd time going to damage? lol
