A guy I work security with is in need of some gear (as he just got his CCW and is also going to the Police academy). He doesn’t have a lot of money, but wants to get a reliable weapon.
So he comes into our Store with his father-in-law. He picks out a S&W M&P full size. Since he will be carrying it, I recommend that he get some carry ammo and got him some of the Winchester Ranger 147gr.
While he was off looking at something in the store, his father-in-law comes up to me and slips me his CC to pay for everything! The guy is just floored by his generiosity.
Fast forward about 2 weeks. I get a letter in the mail from the father-in-law requesting that I get his son-in-law a nice SureFire Flashlight and to charge his CC for it.
Sounds like my father-inlaw. It is nice but sometimes he doesn’t let me pay, exactly how you said slips them the card first or before I even know and I feel guilty. He is pro 2a and we go shooting together alot. It is definitely better than having one that hates you.
Sounds like a stand up guy. My dad and I go round and round picking up the check when we go out…it’s been entertaining us for years. Hey, maybe I should take him on a road trip to Grant’s place with me.
He is a quiet man with little to say; he visited just once when my daughter was born, and the rest of the time, he lives on the other side of the planet.
