FAMAE in the US?

Found this while look for shot show vids. Anyone else see something cool from the smaller channels?

Looks like they are trying to import a line of their Sig clones or licensed copies into the US.

These and the B&T APC are the two most exiting offerings at SHOT imo. I would love a little 9mm companion to my sig 553.

The B&T APC has me very excited but the only things I’ve seen is a few pictures on Larry Vickers FB page. I hope he has a video in the works.

+1. Larry give us the inside scoop!

Pick up the newest issue of recoil

Spent a bit of time with these guys, liking both Chile and weird rifles. Hopefully they bring the rifle versions in as pistols ala’ CZ. No doubt after the latest Sig Brace ruling many companies are reevaluating their import strategies, as rifle caliber pistols have traditionally only appealed to the neck bearded types.

Pick up the newest issue of recoil

Yeah, there’s a whole BT spread

The placement of the latch for the LOP adjustment on top of the stock for the mini-SAF really seems like a poor design choice.

And with that said, I am really looking forward to owning the FAMAE series in all calibers.

while I doubt I will be able to afford their products any time soon, I gladly welcome any and all new firearm offerings, especially Sig 550 based guns.

Are they importing the rifles? The ones they had on display were select fire. If they are this is exciting but it seems to me that they would have to set up US manufacturing to make the rifles here unless they figure something out like fnh did for the scar.

CZ is saying that they’ll bring in the 805 shorties as pistols to avoid any 922r issues. FAMAE may be able to do the same. I can’t help but think that the new BATFE determination letter on the Sig Brace my stop some imports are rifle caliber pistols are the toys of the neckbearded.

Iirc NFA items are exempt from 922 for those who actually want to form 1 them.

There are conflicting opinion letters regarding 922r and nfa. The most recent says that it applies to pistols turned sbr.

Well shit that’d ruin my plans for a bren 805 and scorpion Evo sbr.

That’s why the Brace was the cat’s meow. Now that that ship has sailed, I find myself almost uninterested. That is, unless, they can contract some US made parts. Unfortunately, being new designs, I doubt that will happen anytime soon. This brace debacle really screwed the pooch on these guns (for me).

Or just don’t post videos of yourself on YouTube doing stupid things and be on your merry way.

I like how the cornballer was like:

“…and you will also make a 7.62x51 pistol.”

NO.

The brace was always straight cornball.

Maybe they’ll make a slide fire stock for them instead and the neck beards can rejoice.

Just get pistol, form1 it, and wait till American parts become avalible before building. That’s what I’m planning on doing with Evo. There’s bound to be aftermarket parts that become avalible; if there’s a niche, there’s a company willing to fill it. There’s no law saying that SBR has to be completed as soon as paper work goes through… If I’m not mistaken.

922r doesn’t exactly have an enforcement history.

Ah, finally the guns of my people. FAMAE’s been making quality licensed SIG clones and SIG based designs for years. They’ve been up in Canada, glad they’re working down here.

I’d be all over a 5.56 and maybe a 9mm SAF SBR.
