FAL with Aimpoint & Larue LT-152 pics anyone?

I have an Aimpoint Comp-M3 that I want to get a mount for use on my FAL, but I want to get low enough that my irons may still be useful…

My AR used the LT-150 which is too tall for FAL irons…

Does anyone have PICS of an Aimpoint in the Larue LT-152 RAS II mount? Specifically a pic of the sight picture…

Thanks!

No pics, but you’d certainly want one lower than an AR.

I’d suggest you contact LaRue, they’re really good about discussing your needs related to their products. Or course, there’s their Christmas decoration that one must consider.
One does not live with and for peanut butter and bread alone.

no production mount puts the aimpoint comp M low enough to allow the standard FAL irons to be seen through the tube.

Thanks Moron! Couldn’t resist… I know it is by now old humor…

I am trading a guy my LT-150 I no longer need for his LT-152, as it seems to be the best option to get the RDS down low on the FAL…

I have seen some use a Micro AP bolted directly to the rail, but then it seems the iron sight is too prominent in the RDS glass and would force one to use BOTH the iron and the red dot… I don’t want that…

Thanks for the bad news that I thought would be the case…

i’m used to folks calling me that - even those who don’t know about the site :stuck_out_tongue:

the pic i posted in the other thread shows an aimpoint as low as it’ll go on the top cover - it’s a low aimpoint ring.

As always, MM, very sexy product shot;)

I don’t know if this shot helps or not, but this is about what I see through my H-1 on my FAL on the rail mount. Just barely see the top of the rear sight. Lower then a lower 1/3 cowitness on my AR’s.

Yep, just as I thought… There is no way to use a RDS that allows iron sights to be used through the glass. Thanks Jeff!

I ended up using a Larue LT-152 on the ARMS #3 mount…
