Fail Zero upper

I’m looking into stripped uppers right now. I’m leaning towards the fail zero bcg and noticed they have coated uppers.

Any benifits to this? Are their upper recievers any good? Or should I get a different upper and have it coated by them? Or should I get a different upper and not even worry about it?

Thanks

What application will you be using this in?

Plinking rifle? Suppressed sbr?

If you want to go the route of the fail zero BCG go for it, they make really nice equipment but truthfully i dont think you will see any measurable benefit from the upper receiver besides ease of cleaning.

Well I’m in the Peoples Republik Of Komnifornia so no suppressors or sbr for me just your standard neuterd rifle.

The rifles will mainly be plinkers. Hopefully some good training. And hopefully not but SHTF. And I always try to go above and beyond and overbuild stuff. So I want something that will have great performance and great reliability. Read way out perform my abilities lol.

Also I have been considering a piston upper for one of the builds so I’m wondering if their coating on the upper will help againgst damage from any carrier tilt that may occur?

Carrier tilt is generally something you see in the receiver extension, not the actual receiver.

If its just for plinking you should be focusing on “accurizing” the rifle, not minutely attempting to make it as reliable as possible.

Simply choosing upper tier parts will result in a rifle that is more reliable than you need it to be.
