I am VERY impressed with the people at the ATF! There is something positive going on at the WV NFA branch, my Form 4 was processed in 15 working days!!!
Check Cashed: 8/29
Approved: 9/18
IN HANDS 9/25!!!
The forms were sent a few days prior of cashing, but that really does not matter…
This was an individual suppressor transfer, but this is my 3rd Form 4 and I have a Form 1, maybe because I have paperwork on the books to speed things up?
I see this as a serious problem… I am an NFA crackhead and I have a .45 can in my sights…
I’ll tell you, if you want to add a suppressor to your collection of goodies, NOW is the time! Turnarounds are QUICK! My last one was 33 days and I thought that was fast…
Pics will soon follow… Im just waiting for the forms to get to my dealer!!!
I sent mine out Sept 4th (my b-day and a gift to myself ), so hopefully it’ll be here soon. This is my first NFA item (SBR), so I’m kinda expecting it to take a little while longer.
Were any of these quick turn-arounds for first timers?
Mine was approved in 16 days. First time for me. Form 4, Trust. My Form 1 was sent the same day (8-21) and the check has been cashed but I haven’t seen anything yet.
My last one wasn’t my first, but my first one took about the same amount of time. It got held up a bit because they lost (or I forgot to send) my trust paperwork. If I remember correctly I got my notice that I needed to send it in about a month after I sent the original form and check. I can only assume that if they had the paperwork that they needed at that time I would have gotten the approval.
Mailed individual transfer form 4 on 9/5,check cashed 9/12, pending on 9/19, and approved on 9/25. Paperwork came in 9/29.
24 days mailbox to mailbox:D
Wow, that is impressive. My form-4’s came back in 33 days and I was doing handstands I was so happy. It took NFA Branch one year 10 months to get back to me. I called and called inquiring about an item I applied for… and when they finally got back to me they said I needed to re-apply with the new forms. Sometime from the time I sent the forms in, to the time they got back to me…there had been a change in the forms. Nice…
Anyway, glad to hear they are turning things around now quickly.
I’m about to get my first can, so I have to wait 'til my FFL/SOT has the can and then submit the F4 correct?..Oh yeah my Form1 was about 1 month, mailbox to malbox…
